WebJan 1, 2007 · The Longest Whale Song is such a sad, but sweet story. However, the writing seemed slightly off and it finished too abruptly, in a very honey-sugary/gooey way. The book has beautiful morals and can teach young readers some very important lessons, but I simply didn't enjoy it as much as her other books.
